The Fruit That's Always in Season - I must confess, I am a fruit lover (though some might suggest I'm a fruitcake)! My mother was very concerned that we ate properly and so she saw to it that there was always fresh fruit for us to eat - and eat it, we did. In my opinion, there's nothing more delicious than fruit that's in season. By the way, did you know there is a fruit that's always in season? It's not the kind you eat. An Eighty Year Tradition of Compassion and Caring - Charles A. Mandley founded his funeral home in 1928 at 15480 Triskett Road in Cleveland, OH. His family purchased a summer home in Fairview Park at a time when the city was a sleepy little town on Cleveland's west side, and in 1953 converted this home into a funeral home, also. Mr. Mandley was joined in business by his son-in-law, Clayton Vetrovsky, and later Clayton's son Robert. Robert's sons, Todd and Scott Vetrovsky, became licensed Funeral Directors in 1977 and quickly became the fourth generation associated with the family business. - read more...

It's Never Too Late to Start - Frank Versagi traveled to China in 1995 to train in the martial arts at the Shao-Lin Temple in the Henan Province. After returning home, he founded Shao-Lin Center for Martial Arts in North Olmsted, Ohio in March 1996 so he could begin to share what he had learned with residents of Northeast Ohio. Frank returned to China in 1998 and again in 2005 where he has lived in the mountains with the Shao-Lin monks and Taoist Priests while continuing to study. Master Sifu Frank Versagi has earned his 5th Degree Black Sash in Chinese Martial Arts, 3rd Degree Black Belt in Shorin-Ryu Karate, and has trained in Shao-Lin Kung-fu, Yang Style Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Bagua, Xing-Yi, Iron Palm, and Iron Body. Before long Dave found himself training and grooming dogs for friends and acquaintances. He continued to travel 480,000 miles a year as a professional handler showing dogs in almost every state in the country, in addition to Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, and the Bahamas.
